Option #3 Custom 1/4" Flame Maple top wood

Flame, Fiddle-Back or Tiger maple all generally refer to curls (or stripes) as illustrated here. Flame can be tight, wide, straight or crooked. We supply solid 2-piece in the form of a book-matched laminate top.

Option #3 Custom edge binding

Binding is applied to the edge of a body to add definition and contrast. We rout a groove around the edge of the body and then glue the binding into the groove. After the glue has cured, the binding is scraped and sanded smooth and flush with the body.

Neck wood choices

Option #1 All Maple

This is the most traditional neck wood. Dense, hard and strong, offering great sustain and stability. The tone is bright. Maple must be finished to protect from warping. The figure varies greatly and does at times contain some birdseye. Most often flatsawn or quartersawn.

Option #2 Rosewood fingerboard/Maple neck

One of the most popular fingerboard woods, Rosewood has the warm "rock-n-roll" tonality you’ve heard on many of the most famous rock albums in history. Rosewood contains natural oils so a finish is not required and the feel is also smooth and fast.
